Can't upgrade from 1.8.6 nor uninstall 1.8.6

Currently have Diffplug 1.8.6 on Win7 Pro.

Note: I tried the workaround in “Requirements not met - Installer 1.6.1”, but there was no “C:\Users<your username>.diffplug.lock” file.

When I launch it, it ells be that 1.8.7 is available. I click on “Upgrade” anf get the “Download 1.8.7” popup with a progress bar. When the progress bar is full, it show an “Install” button, which I click. Then another popup appears, but disappears too quickly to read.

Then I tried to use the Win7 Control Panel to Uninstall Diffplug 1.8.6. I select Diffplug, then click on “Uninstall/Change”. A popup appears then disappear too quickly to read.

Is there a way to make this work?

Try downloading the installer for the latest version: https://www.diffplug.com/versions/1.8.7

It will overwrite the existing 1.8.6. If that doesn’t work, let us know and we can dig in deeper.

That seems to have worked for upgrading to 1.8.7
